EOTO Presentations Reaction

I learned about the ballpoint pen from a Josh Mancini blog, and it's amazing to see how such a simple thing changed our lives so much. ⁤⁤László Bíró invented it in 1938 in Hungary, and it made a big difference in how people wrote things down. ⁤⁤Before the ballpoint pen, people used quills or fountain pens, which were messy and harder to use. ⁤⁤The ballpoint pen made writing much faster and easier. ⁤

⁤One of the best things about the ballpoint pen
is how easy it is to use and carry around. ⁤⁤Unlike quills or fountain pens that needed ink bottles, the ballpoint pen is ready to go whenever you need it. ⁤⁤You can put it in your pocket or bag and write anytime, anywhere. ⁤⁤Before the ballpoint pen, traveling with a quill and ink bottle was a hassle, but the ballpoint pen makes it so much simpler. ⁤⁤I realized I take that convenience for granted, but it was a big deal when it was first invented. ⁤⁤The ballpoint pen also made writing available to everyone. ⁤⁤It helped people take notes quickly and write things down whenever they needed to. ⁤⁤This made a big difference in learning and business because it was easier to share and keep track of information. ⁤⁤Today, almost everyone has a ballpoint pen nearby, whether it's in a backpack, a purse, or just sitting on a desk. ⁤⁤This shows how important it has become in everyday life.

⁤One thing I hadn't really thought about before was the effect the ballpoint pen has on the environment. ⁤⁤Disposable pens (like ballpoint pens) are made of plastic, and they create a lot of waste, which can be bad for the planet. ⁤⁤Still, back when it was invented, the benefits probably seemed worth it for most people. ⁤⁤After learning about it, I see the ballpoint pen in a new way. ⁤⁤It's just an everyday item to most of us now, but it really changes how we communicate. ⁤⁤Without it, we might not have made as much progress in school, work, and other parts of life as we have.
